IAAPA Safety Month: Learnings from the Fire at Oceana
On 12 February 2024, a fire demolished most of Oceana, a new water world under construction at Liseberg (Gothenburg, Sweden), just a few months before its opening. As the company is working on rebuilding the water park, the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority (SHK) has published its report outlining the background of the fire, and its recommendations to prevent a similar accident from happening.
