Live Chat: How IAAPA is Advocating for Creative Workforce Solutions

Webinar Description

Studies consistently show that the availability of workers in the U.S. is the most critical issue for the future of the economy, with a workforce crisis projected to peak by 2030. The attractions industry faces broader workforce challenges than our travel and tourism partners, since we must fill both service-related positions in customer service, retail, and food service, and recruit technically skilled workers across multiple expertise levels.

We invite you to join an informative live chat with the IAAPA public affairs team and workforce experts in Washington, D.C. about how the Critical Labor Coalition (CLC) is advocating for workforce solutions such as supporting legislation that focuses on seniors, veterans, caregivers, guest workers, youth/entry-level employment, among others.

We will also provide an update about efforts to preserve the BridgeUSA Exchange Visitor Program (J-1 Visa) and expand the H-2B visa program.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn how impending workforce challenges through 2030 will specifically impact your attraction's operations and ways to support industry-wide legislative advocacy efforts that can help protect your business.
  • Discover how supporting the Critical Labor Coalition's efforts can directly address your attraction's future staffing shortages by expanding access to untapped workforce populations including seniors, veterans, youth, and guest workers.
  • Understand recent developments affecting international workforce programs and how these changes will impact your attraction's staffing capabilities for the upcoming season and beyond.
