Course Description
This course focuses on proper sitting posture and safe lifting techniques to prevent workplace injuries and improve overall ergonomic health. Participants will explore the impact of poor body mechanics, identify risk factors for musculoskeletal strain, and implement strategies to maintain spinal alignment. The training emphasizes correct positioning, weight distribution, and movement patterns that reduce stress on the body during seated tasks and manual lifting. By applying these principles, individuals can enhance comfort, minimize fatigue, and decrease the likelihood of long-term injuries.
Course Objectives
- Demonstrate proper seated posture to maintain spinal health and reduce discomfort
- Implement safe lifting techniques to prevent strain on muscles and joints
- Identify common workplace ergonomic hazards that contribute to musculoskeletal injuries
- Apply weight distribution principles to minimize stress on the lower back while lifting objects
- Recognize early signs of strain or injury and take corrective actions to prevent further complications
