This course provides an overview of best practices and considerations for successfully organizing and executing catering and banquet events within attraction settings. You will explore the process of planning, coordinating, and managing such events, and ensuring a memorable experience for guests. Key topics include an introduction to the fundamentals of catering and banqueting in an attraction environment, understanding the roles and responsibilities of events and catering staff, event planning, menu planning, and logistical considerations. Upon completion, you will possess the knowledge and skills to confidently plan and execute catering and banquet events at your attraction, ensuring safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Course Objectives
- Explain the benefits of conducting catered and group events at an attraction.
- Identify event space, logistics, and pricing considerations for catered and group events.
- Create and adjust Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for requested events.
- Communicate requests to colleagues for needed supplies, tools, entertainment, products, etc.
- Acquire proper materials, permits, and labor to execute catered events.
