Course Description
This course teaches how to prepare for a fire emergency, develop your emergency response plan, and take the necessary steps to prevent a fire, including how to identify and eliminate potential fire hazards. It also identifies the five different classes of fires, as well as what type of fire extinguisher gets applied to each. Additionally, it showcases the benefits of establishing a strong partnership with your local fire department.
This 30-minute course includes multiple inline activities to aid in the understanding of proper evacuation routes, the PASS method to use when using a fire extinguisher, and how to recognize conditions in which the firefighting should be left to the professionals. This course also includes a knowledge check to reinforce the concepts and is a vital course for any team member, especially frontline employees, new hires, or employees returning for the new season, as OSHA annually requires fire extinguisher training for employees who are expected to use portable fire extinguishers in their job.
