Session Description
Organizations such as ASTM and AIMS are focused on creating the safest and most reliable amusement attractions. Safety standards have been put in place to mitigate risk and make it safe for many riders to experience the joys of attractions. Each new safety standard is created as a result of an updated risk analysis. So, what goes into determining risk and how do operators and manufacturers determine the level of risk needed to make operational or design changes to an attraction? This session will focus on functional safety and how to perform a hazard analysis for both onboard and off-board risks. Sit with two safety experts from Manufacturing and Operations as they walk you through how to properly quantify risk and determine how to mitigate risk in your attractions.
