Session Description
In a world where in-home technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated, it is more important than ever that location-based experiences encourage next-level immersive engagement. We will explore the emerging demand for next-level shows, attractions and experiences and what it ultimately means for theme parks, LBEs, theaters, and cruise lines. How can we create experiences that will compete with in-home entertainment and ensure returning audiences?
Experiences that are about the emotion, not the hardware or technologies, with the technology acting purely as a tool to facilitate the intersection of the physical and digital, will be game-changing. We will highlight techniques that seamlessly blend the physical and digital worlds into spectacular eye-catchers, and discuss how we can bring cinematic experiences to a live show without destroying the illusions that viewers spectate in movies. The opportunities this technology provides within theme park attractions will be discussed to create next generation experiences that drive footfall to destinations.
Maximizing the use of technologies requires creative collaboration from experts across different disciplines and even industries to push the boundaries of design possibility. This session reviews how combining creative influence can leverage the best of existing and emerging technologies to shatter the boundaries of experience design.
