Certificants must have completed 40 credits of attractions industry-related continuing education within their current renewal period to renew their IAAPA certification. You may include up to 10 hours of education outside of IAAPA or Giving back to the industry. You will receive credit for the actual clock time of the qualifying activity. (1 hour of qualifying activity equals 1 CEU)
CEU hours must be completed at the time of submission; future hours will not be accepted. Transcripts, certificates of attendance, and agendas may be requested. When filling out the CEU tracker, please avoid using acronyms.
Please indicate the total number of hours you have submitted for credit and provide a detailed listing for each program activity. There is no requirement to attach documentation or proof of attendance at IAAPA live education events or background information. However, IAAPA reserves the right to request and audit documentation confirming information reflected on your application.
Certification renewal includes:
- A certification renewal fee
- Submitting your record of continuing education units (CEUs) obtained over the three-year period
- Reaffirming the IAAPA Certification Application Terms and Conditions
Fees
Certificants have 60 days to complete the certification maintenance renewal after submitting the fee. IAAPA certification applications, exams, and other fees are not eligible to be purchased for anyone other than yourself.
